Our mission is to help young people succeed. Significant barriers exist for many young people in our society: poverty, failing schools, discrimination, gang culture, poor parenting and a lack of appropriate role models are just a few. However, we believe that with the right support, encouragement and opportunities, there are no limits to what young people can achieve. There are three arms to the work that we do to help young people overcome the difficulties they face and achieve their full potential: Venture Philanthropy, Academy Sponsorship and Research.
Venture Philanthropy: We offer support, both financial and advisory, to a small number of carefully selected charities. Generally support is given to small-medium sized charities with a replicable model which are at an early stage of their development. This allows us to have a greater impact on their work.
Academy Sponsorship: We are the sponsor of Pimlico Academy in Westminster. Our intention is to sponsor several academies in London and create a group of schools which can work together and share excellent practice.
Research: We undertake research into issues affecting young people’s lives to support our work with charities and academies. We aim to share the outcomes of our work with policy makers in the hope that the excellent practice we identify can be replicated more widely.
